Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- What do I need to do and/or on my first time visiting the clinic?
Please make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment if it is your first time to the clinic. We will require you to fill out a medical history form. Please bring any medications that you are currently taking. Also, don’t forget to bring your private health insurance card if you have one.
- How long is a first appointment scheduled for?
Usually it may be between 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- Why is it important to regularly visit the dentist?
Prevention is better than the cure. So what may seem normal on the outside or how you feel may not be under your teeth and gums. Having regular dental check-ups will help prevent any underlying issues with your teeth and gums.
- How often should I book for my check-ups with the dentist?
Usually every 6 months or advised otherwise by your dentist.
- Isn’t brushing enough, why should we floss?
Brushing helps but flossing helps clean in between areas where the toothbrush cannot reach.
- How early should I get my kids to brush their teeth?
Once they start having teeth
- Can you prevent having cavities?
First of all, Cavities are acidic types of bacteria which causes tooth decay.
Cavities are from a sticky film built up on your teeth called plaque.
You can prevent cavities by brushing and flossing regularly, eating less sugar or starch based food, use antibacterial mouth wash and keeping good oral hygiene.
- What does it cost for Cosmetic Dentistry Work?
It really depends on a consultation with the dentist. Not everyone is suitable for cosmetic dentistry treatments. At the consultation the dentist will assess your teeth and what outcome you want to achieve from the treatment. After that the dentist will provide several treatment options and costs. We also have payment options such as Afterpay at our clinics to assist with the finance side of things.
- Does it hurt when visiting a Cosmetic Dentist for Dental Treatment and What Sedation Options are there available?
Yes, we do provide sedation options such as Local Anaesthetic and also Intravenous Sedation. The dentist will advise you the options during the consultation.
Note: Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, we encourage you to discuss these matters with a dental professional.
