Meet Our Dentists
Clear Choice Dental was first established by the collaborative efforts of Dr. Sharma and Dr. Strangio. Their first practice in Maddington opened its doors on the 1st of March, 2016, with plans to open more practices in Yokine and Joondalup. These two highly qualified practitioners bring with them a vast range of experience in all aspects of dentistry. All of our dentists are highly experienced in their field and an in-depth knowledge of the emerging technologies in the healthcare industry, which attract both patients and other health care professionals.
Dr Sandeep Sharma
Dr. Sharma graduated from the University of Western Australia’s (UWA) Dental School in 1994. He has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of dentistry and ensures he keeps abreast with the latest technology and techniques. He established the Dr 7 Dental Centre in 1999 and became a founder of Clear Choice Dental in 2015.
He is a certified member of Australian Dental Association (ADA), Australian Osseointegration Society (AOS) and Australian Association of Dento-Facial Aesthetics (AADFA).
Sandeep has a special interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He has extensive experience in dental implantology, early interceptive orthodontics, dentofacial cosmetics and oral rehabilitation.
Dr Tony Strangio
Dr Strangio graduated from the UWA in 1993 with a Bachelor of Dental Science. Dr Strangio’s services include wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, soft tissue grafting and immediate implant replacement.
He first became involved in implant dentistry in 1996 at the Branemark centre in Western Australia. He completed his primaries for the Royal Australian College of dental surgeons in 2006 and was awarded commendation; he then obtained his Masters in Oral Implantology in Frankfurt, Germany in 2013.
Tony is currently a research fellow at the International Research Collaborative – Oral Health and Equity (IRC-OHE) group based at the Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Human Biology at UWA. He has lectured extensively in the field of implant dentistry and was involved as a lecturer at the Oral Health Centre of Western Australia from 2002-2004 in the field of exodontia. He is also a member of the ADA, Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP), Australian Society of Prosthodontics and co-founder of the Academy of Dental Implantology and Oral Rehabilitation (ADIOR) centre where dentist with a special interest in dental implants and oral surgery are able to come together to deliver lectures and workshops in several courses related to implantology. He is the current WA president of the Australian Osseointegration Society (AOS) and his research interests focuses on the simplification of implant surgery.
Dr Rebecca Thomas
Dr. Rebecca Thomas graduated from the University of Queensland in 2007. Since graduation, Rebecca has been working as a family dentist in the private sector in Brisbane. She relocated to Perth in 2012 and joined our practice the same year. Rebecca focuses on a friendly, gentle approach to treatment delivery and enjoys working with children.
Dr Lavina Ng
Dr Lavina Ng graduated from Griffith University with academic excellence. She has previously worked in Cowra, regional NSW and has recently moved back to Perth. Her love for Dentistry started with a passion for helping others and especially dental-phobic patients. She has volunteered numerous times overseas in Malaysia to those who have no access to dental care. She also takes great pride in delivering comprehensive and excellent Dentistry. She is passionate about increasing awareness of oral health to patients as regular maintenance decreases the need for further drilling and filling. Dr Lavina Ng is extremely gentle, allowing patients to feel comfortable during appointments. She enjoys making patients feel good about their smiles.
Outside of work, Dr Lavina Ng enjoys cooking and eating delicious foods, hiking and most of all travelling all over the world.
Dr Lavina works at our Maddington and Joondalup practice.
Dr Hira Rind
In 2013, Dr Hira earned a Bachelor of Public Health and Human Anatomy from the University of Western Australia. She then earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine from UWA in 2019.
Having spent time working in Geraldton, she has recently moved to her hometown of Perth.
Dr Hira provides all aspect of general dentistry to suit the needs of her patients, including emergency, preventative, restorative, along with all other dental fields.
Her goal is to help her patients improve not only their oral health, but also their overall wellbeing and self-confidence. She is committed to educating her patients and enjoys taking the time to get to know her patients and provide a calm and comfortable environment for them.
Dr Hira is a member of the Australia Dental Associate of Western Australia and attends regular professional development courses to ensure she is up to date with the new technologies.
She enjoys giving back to the community, working in regional parts of Western Australia providing dental care to the disadvantaged members of the community.
Outside of work, Dr Hira enjoys cooking and spending time with friends and family, exploring cafes and keeping healthy and active with group fitness classes.
Dr Jafli Manar
Dr Jafli completed her Dental Accreditation in 2018 and have been working in private practice since then.
Dr Jafli enjoys working with kids, preventative and restorative dentistry. She prides herself in delivering quality dental work and enjoys educating patients on their oral hygiene. She’s also great with treating anxious patients as she has a great calm and pleasant demeanour.
Outside of dentistry she enjoys travelling, calligraphy and spending time with her family.
